# $FEED Utility Token

**$FEED** will be the official utility token of the Chonky Chkn universe. Holding a Chonky Chkn will automatically earn you $FEED.

$FEED will be an essential part of every phase after Phase 1. You will need $FEED to:

* Increase your Chonkiness score to unlock fatter NFTs and participate in the Chonky Chkn Eating Contest
* Increase the rarity of your evolved Chkn for the Evolution Program
* Purchase in-game items in the mobile game

## When/How can I earn $FEED?

**Each Chonky Chkn will earn $FEED right after it's minted!** :tada:\
\
This is because the mechanics of $FEED will be baked into the original minting smart contract. However, not all Chonky Chkns earn the same amount of $FEED. 

**Genesis Chonky Chkns will earn 5 $FEED per day for the next 5 years, while all other Chonky Chkns will earn 1 $FEED a day for the next 5 years.**
